Lifeguard - Seasonal, Westfield County Club

Schedules, pay and other benefits:

• Stable and flexible hours; Average of 20 – 25 hours/week
• Hourly Rate: $12.50

About the job:

The Lifeguard will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring the safety, cleanliness and service to Members/Guests.
• Ensuring the safety of patrons of the Westfield Country Club pool by preventing and responding to emergencies.
• Provide a clean, well-maintained, and safe aquatic environment; enforces pool rules; opens pool at the beginning of day and secures pool area at the end of the day.

Requirements:

• CPR Certification OR obtain certification within 30 days of hire
• Current certification as Lifeguard OR obtain certification within 30 days of hire
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule of mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time in varying weather conditions while maintaining vigilant visual surveillance on pool patrons.
• Ability to swim effectively and secure safety of swimmers, perform expected lifesaving measures and appropriate first aid procedures.
• Ability to maintain, ben, lift, and carry 50 lbs.; work in an outdoor pool environment including close contact with pool chemicals.
