Logistics Co-op Job at Meritor
The Florence Logistics Co-Op position is responsible for providing support to the Florence, Ky. Aftermarket Distribution Center’s Traffic and Logistics Team. This position will provide daily support to the Florence Traffic department by assisting in freight data analysis, process improvements, standard work documentation, paperwork processing, and project management. The employee will work primarily with the Florence Logistic Analysts but will have regular interaction with the Meritor Corporate Transportation Group (TMS Team). There should be no mandatory travel required but site visits to local freight carrier operations will be offered and encouraged.

Job Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply the process of planning, scheduling, procuring, and shipping freight to satisfy customers and operational demands.
- Using Data Analytics with knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Qlik, PowerBI, and Tableau, analyze freight shipment data to assist in identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Complete monthly freight reporting and analysis and collaborate with appropriate teams to understand variances & provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Work with Florence Traffic team to assist in documenting standard work procedures for freight management.
- Assist Florence Traffic team with Record Retention, Claims Management, TMS Tendering and other task associated with the daily processing of freight.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a degree in one of the following: Operations Management, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Management
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for interaction and coordination responsibilities
- Strong organizational and analytical skills for project management requirements
