This position is located in Austin, TX. Our Austin team is based downtown in the San Jacinto Center. What You'll Do:

LogicMonitor is disrupting the hybrid cloud monitoring market by changing the way businesses use disparate sources of data. We are already a leader in this space – and we started by solving the hardest, most complicated problem first. With roots in the IT Infrastructure Monitoring space, we have carved out excellent product-market fit in hybrid cloud monitoring. Our customers love LogicMonitor's ability to bring cloud and traditional IT together into one view, as seen in minimal churn rates, expansion business, and exciting new customer references. As we enter this next phase of growth, we are in search of a Looker Architect / Modeler.

In this role you will have dual responsibility for both defining requirements and developing data & analytics internal products leveraging Snowflake, SQL, LookML, Google Analytics Suite, and future others - Tableau. It is key you are a data-driven problem solver who wants to make an impact in our tech industry pre-IPO company. Make your mark by using your understanding of analytics, client reporting, and data platforms to elicit requirements and technically plan and develop LookML data models for data pipelines, data views, and data extracts. Validate using Data Studio Dashboards and Looker Reports.

Here's a closer look at this key role:


  • Manage and support business processes via system automation
  • Implement feature enhancements to systems according to LogicMonitor business needs
  • Ensure integrations between systems are working as expected and resolve any errors
  • Communicate and resolve planned or unplanned system downtime
  • Develop and provide reporting from systems when requested, train others on reporting
  • Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, security, release management, improvements, data integrity, duplicates, backups, etc.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g. Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of SQL experience in the data analytics space
  • Experience optimizing database/query performance
  • Advanced experience with Erwin, DBT, or Embarcadero Data Architect, LookerML, or other data modeling tools
  • Experience performing complex analysis and development of models that mitigate risk, deliver insights, and automate tedious processes across the enterprise
  • Experience with data analysis and data manipulation leveraging SQL and/or Python
  • Strong communication ability to synthesize requirements and gain business agreement

Actual base salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location, education, experience, skills, and qualifications.
LogicMonitor also offers many competitive elements in our total compensation package for US employees, such as a bonus, MBO, or commission compensation in addition to the base pay, an equity program, 401K matching, and other rewards.

$99,300—$136,600 USD
