Machine Shop / Stockroom Clerk (Food Manufacturing)


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist Engineering (Maintenance) with data entry for SAP system and CMMS/parts inventory system.
  • File records for Engineering (Maintenance).
  • Translation assistance in between English and Chinese (written and verbal).
  • Make stock count of engineering (maintenance and repair) parts.
  • Assists in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Performs other duties as may be required.


QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactory.   • Basic knowledge of machine and spare parts
  • Good typing skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Quick learner
  • Self starter
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Engineering (Maintenance) preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including stock control software/system experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS / MATHEMATICAL SKILLS / REASONING ABILITY

  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Bilingual in English/Chinese-Cantonese preferred.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
