- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of experience in streets maintenance and/or construction, or closely related experience.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Class “A” CDL with tanker endorsement upon hire date.
- Valid Flagger’s Card upon hire date.
- Obtain American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Traffic Control Technician certification within one (1) year of hire date and maintain throughout employment.
- Obtain Railway Worker Protection Certification within two (2) years of hire date and maintain throughout employment.
- Obtain American Public Works Association (APWA) Winter Maintenance Operator Certification within three (3) years of hire date and maintain throughout employment.
- Obtain ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor Certification within four (4) years of hire date.
This position will be posted internally/externally concurrently. However, only qualified, regular full-time, IUOE members will be given first consideration if they apply within the first five (5) working internal days of posting. If no qualified IUOE members apply by the internal posting closing date then all qualified external applicants will be considered. Internal qualified applicants who apply after the initial five (5) day posting will compete with qualified external applicants. Selection will be made based on overall qualifications, skills testing, and a formal interview process. Final candidate selected will be required to complete a comprehensive background/reference check and pre-employment physical commensurate to the position.
