M-Thurs is 2:00pm - 12:30am
Friday is 12:00pm - 10:30pm
Saturday is 6:00am - 12:00pm

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Supervisor.
About the job:
The Maintenance Technician, under minimum supervision, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, installation, repair and servicing of all mechanical, electrical systems. This role involves applying electrical mechanical expertise in determining work methods and procedures for producing quality product. Participate in continuous improvement programs for achieving Company’s goals and objectives. Recommend solutions and take initiative to correct problems, through designated channels, to prevent their re-occurrence.

Key responsibilities:
  • Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical control and distribution systems to include 24v (ac), 120v (ac), 277v (AC) and 480v (AC).
  • PLC troubleshooting knowledge, huge plus if you can program.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on; AC & DC motor drives, distribution panel and other related devices.
  • Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs when required.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
  • Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blue prints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges and Pneumatic exp.
  • Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics.
  • To keep line equipment operating at peak efficiency by carrying out temporary then permanent repairs.
  • To use tool room machinery as needed, such as lathes, drills, milling machine, etc.
  • To use hand tools when necessary, measuring tools, wrenches, files drills, pliers, pipe threaders, hammer, chisels, etc.
  • To keep shop and work areas in a safe and tidy condition.
  • To identify, advise and correct potential problems.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and Pipe Fitting skills.
  • Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.
Required:
  • Industrial Maintenance Millwright Certificate or Qualified Mechanic.
  • Completion of 3 years of trade school recognized apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 6 Years’ experience in an Industrial maintenance related position within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Electrical knowledge of 3 phase and DC systems Knowledge of industrial electrical, control, and instrumentation systems. Examples include control relay logic; voltage control schemes; photo-eyes; distance and pressure transducers; etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, modify, and program PLCs and HMIs.
  • Rigging Exp.
  • PLC programming, robotics, ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, soldering knowledge, and pneumatics.
  • Forklift Certified - Ability to operate a forklift safely to eliminate personal injury and material damage.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs. overhead, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Requires good eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • Good visual acuity – cannot be colorblind.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in cold, heat and dusty environment; includes occasional work
  • outside in the elements.
  • Ability to safely operate small hand tools.
  • Must own basic hand tools.
