Creative Plastics (CP), a division of Marketing Alliance Group (MAG), is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our Maintenance team. You will inspect different equipment in our extrusion, injection molding and plastic fabrication departments, and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and repair manuals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
  • Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells, or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
  • Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric, and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
  • Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
  • Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service, and testing of machinery.
  • Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.
  • Work effectively with other team members in a production environment.
  • Performs duties required to keep facilities and property properly maintained.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management, works with minimal level of supervision.

Requirements:

  • Proven Maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to use basic measuring tools
  • Must understand electricity
  • Must provide own tools (special tools needed will be provided)
  • Position entails frequent lifting of light to heavy loads while standing for long periods of time. The position also requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and pushing/pulling.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends when needed

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • Plumbing, Carpentry and Welding
  • Knowledge of valves and hydraulics
