GStek is actively seeking qualified applicants for full-time Maintenance Trades Helper openings to provide customer support at our Fort Polk location.

Salary: $16.36 an hour plus $4.41 an hour for Health & Welfare

Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active/recent U.S. government security clearance.
• Knowledgeable of Cat5d and Cat 6 installation requirements.
• Knowledgeable of Manhole maintenance requirements.

Desired:

• OSHA confined space entry training

Job Description:

• Help in the installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cable drops in an outside environment.
• Help in the testing and termination at pedestals and manhole locations for connectivity.
• Assist in locating and fixing buried cable.
• Climb ladders and work for extended periods of time pulling cables and clearing manholes through buried and raised spaces.
• Work in all climates to include excessive heat and cold conditions.
• Operate mid to heavy size equipment to include bucket trucks and digging equipment.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Talk and hear.
• Stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
• Lift and move items over 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close/distance/color/peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Perform duties in all weather conditions.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Drive from work site to work site.
