Job Purpose:

The Manager, Commercial Training & Development – Oncology is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and measurement of customized training programs for all branded products and selling skills. This individual will consult and partner with key stakeholders within several functional areas (i.e., sales, marketing, and medical) and ensures that the creation and pull-through of training needs are met.

This individual will also be responsible for cross-training in other organizational franchises (i.e., Rare Disease and CNS), as such, you will need to be an adaptive learner, who can manage multiple tasks across multiple projects, leveraging and applying your experience effectively. Essential Functions:

Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Consulting/Partnering with Sales Leadership (Sales Managers, Marketing, etc.) to assess training needs and gaps and proactively collaborate to provide training solutions.
  • Design, develop, implement, and execute all required sales training content associated with the new hire and advanced training classes.
  • Evaluate the competency levels of training class participants by providing detailed evaluations, feedback, and certifications.
  • Manage and adapt classroom environments to allow representatives to meet learning objectives.
  • Coach and train representatives during training classes and off-hour sessions as needed.
  • Learn new disease state information and promotional materials to prepare and implement training of the content promptly.
  • Create and maintain a workable training plan to determine goals, strategies, and tactics to achieve stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Oversight of continual needs/gap analysis of current training programs as well as new training initiatives via field rides, surveys, etc.
  • Conduct field rides and/or have field connectivity to provide ongoing product and selling skills.
  • Develop sales training materials in parallel with the Legal, Medical, and regulatory processes (PRC).
  • Support sales coaching management team and marketing by providing training materials, workshops, and/or facilitation for all national, sales, and Plan of Action (POA) meetings.
  • Responsible for managing the commercial learning management system and overseeing that the proper scheduling, documentation, logistics, and coordination of training events are being conducted by the team and key stakeholders (i.e. LMS, training records, file management, documentation retention, etc.).
  • Ability to travel to the home office as needed for live training classes, meetings, and/or any home office-related events

Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelor's degree

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant learning and development experience
  • In-depth understanding and application of traditional and modern learning and development methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, micro-learning, and coaching)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Technical Skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Non-Technical Skills

Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong work ethic is required. Detail oriented and excellent follow through. Has the ability to flex and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment. Has a passion for personal learning and development to be able to grow with the company. Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization.
