This senior level position is a supervisory role that supports Sentara Health Plan business goals through the successful partnership with business owners and vendor relationships. The job objective is to provide consistent guidance, mentorship, and support in line with the organization and VMO leadership expectations, ensuring that employees have sufficient performance infrastructure in place to meet and exceed job expectations. This role is responsible for the daily oversight of Vendor Support Specialists, who assist the internal business owner with the day to day oversight of assigned vendors, ensuring they meet contractual and regulatory/compliance requirements across all of Sentara Health Plans, to include all lines of business, clinical and non-clinical vendors. The Manager must collaborate with business owners, vendors and other internal/external stakeholders on special projects related to annual strategic initiatives and cost saving opportunities, data analyses, product/service utilization, and vendor performance, to recommend, document, and implement process/program improvements. Requires ability to partner with all levels of the organization, internal and external, to evaluate, improve and support business processes and vendor performance.

General understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, the HMO concept and business operations. Minimum of 1-year experience working in a service organization specifically focused on Medicaid, Medicare, disabled and/or vulnerable members. Demonstrated accomplishments in customer service, vendor oversight and business improvement. Exceptional organization skills. Excellent oral & written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and achieving business goals. Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence and drive solutions across all organizational levels. Strong strategic and operational planning experience. Experience leading cross-functional programs/projects. Worked successfully independently and with a team. Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of the executive leadership team. For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $88,364.64 - $141,392.16.
