State-of-the-art pediatric services are provided by a comprehensive staff that includes pediatric subspecialty physicians and a nursing team that is “Magnet” recognized for nursing excellence and high-quality patient care. The hospital also has earned national recognition for 12 consecutive years as a “Best Children’s Hospitals” by U.S. News & World Report and was included, together with Orlando Health ORMC, in the IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals® list for 2021.

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to oversee its Pediatric and Congenital Echocardiography lab. The manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services, and overseeing a team of skilled echo sonographers.

Responsibilities:
The Imaging Services Manager, manages activities of team members providing imaging services under the direction of the Director, Imaging Services. Supports, plans, develops, organizes, and leads Imaging Services departments, assuring continual, timely, and accurate services to patients and care teams.

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Echocardiography department, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are in good working order and properly maintained.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of patient appointments and procedures.
  • Monitor the quality of diagnostic services provided by the department and implement improvements as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of diagnostic services.
  • Manage and develop a team of skilled echo sonographers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, Leadership, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Echocardiography, with at least three years of management experience.
  • Pediatric/Congenital echocardiography credential preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Echocardiography, with at least three years of management experience.
  • Pediatric/Congenital echocardiography credential preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
