Summary:

SKF is seeking a Machinist to operate a variety of machine including CNC and manual machines. This position reports to the Production Manager.The SKF Solution Factory in Cleveland provides access to SKF’s diverse technical resources for machine productivity solutions. The facility offers an extensive range of services, including bearing application support, customized machined sealing solutions, spindle and ball screw repair, mechanical equipment services, engineering consultancy, remote diagnostics and monitoring, and a full spectrum of training courses and seminars.The SKF Solution Factory serves a wide range of industries, including machine tool, food and beverage, mining, and metals, among others. As a machinist on the SKF Solutions Factory team you will have the opportunity to work witha varietyof machines.You will be expected to perform machining operations including turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, and tapping.You will set up and operate machining department equipment, manual and CNC. You will also have the opportunity to work withLathes, vertical mills, boring mill, jig grinder and surface grinder.

The SKF Solutions Factory site is located inHighland Heights, OH. This is a great opportunity for experienced machinist to work 1st shift with opportunities for overtime!

Machinists with prior experience or technical school education working with Mori Seiki CNC lathe, Fadal, Fryerlathes, vertical mills, boring mills, jig grinders, surface grinders, and have performed machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, and tapping are highly encouraged to apply! Responsibilities Include But Not Limited to:

• Operate all start up and shut down a variety of machine(s) following established company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Read/interpret Engineering drawings and quality specifications.
• Set up, program, and manufacture complete parts from Engineering drawingsminimizing scrap and rework.
• Set up and operate machining department equipment, manual and CNC.
• Perform part inspection using precision measuring instruments.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment including identification of unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• Minimum High School certificate or GED.
• Previous experience or education in machining and cutting tools.
• Basic computer skills, with CAD ability preferred.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Must be able to lift or move materials up to 25 lbs.
• Available to work 1st Shift (7 AM - 3 PM) with opportunity for Overtime.

**Desired Skills and Attributes:**

• Experience with Mori Seiki CNC lathe, Fadal and Fryer vertical mills is a plus.
• Detail oriented with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate technical details.
• Passionate about learning and cross training to other competencies.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
