Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

Join an international manufacturing software support group. In this position you will interface with international design engineers and local production staff to gather information on projects. Then you will design programs to assist production in achieving the design requirements. As a team member in the ME Test Team you will operate in a fast paced and rapidly changing manufacturing production environment. In this position you will train line operators to use the programs you and our international colleges have created for production to use. You will also modify these programs when it is necessary. You will assist the line operators in troubleshooting these programs should the need arise. As an integral part of the ME Test Team you will be the point person for software related issues. You may be asked to modify, or trouble shoot our existing tests. You may also be asked to help develop software for our new testers. This position also requires some understanding of hardware application and how the hardware interfaces with our software.

Required Skills:

  • Be able to program in
    • C sharp
    • C++
    • Python
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts (Inheritance, Interfaces, Lambdas).
  • Experience in one or more OOP Languages. For example: C, C++, C#, Objective C, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Rust, TypeScript, Vala, Visual Studios.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Office Excel or LibreOffice Calc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with C#. 2-3 Credit Hours of academic experience, or 3 months’ work experience is sufficient.
  • Experience with C/C++. 4+ Credit Hours of academic experience, or six month’s work experience is sufficient.
  • Experience with AGCO Script (not applicable for outside hire)
  • Experience using any Version Control System, such as Git, Mecurial, or SubVersion (SVN).
  • Experience with Windows Batch Scripting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint, Access, Visio.
  • Experience with ladder logic (PLC Programing)
  • Experience with CANBUS / J1939, UDP, KWP2000 protocols.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience using SQL.
  • Should be able to travel internationally.

Education Requirements:

  • B.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • No previous experience is needed, but a candidate with one year of manufacturing experience will fit into this role more easily.
    • Looking for new graduates is preferred
