MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues and support activities that relate to machine or system repair of serial production manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed below. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned .
1. Provide manufacturing engineering support to all plant departments.
2. Troubleshoot production issues; assist &or direct maintenance issues on the manufacturing floor related to serial production.
3. Ensure equipment is performing effectively and efficiently.
4. Assist in performance and optimization of preventative maintenance.
5. Analyze equipment operating data to ensure equipment is operating as close to design parameters as possible.
6. Consults at a technical level with maintenance craft workers regarding equipment or work-related problems.
7. Participate in MAHLE Production Systems (MPS) activities in manufacturing areas (Kaizen events, cleaning boards, OEE, etc.)
8. Support manage and control Facility Engineering projects/duties.
9. Provide technical assistance and resolution when manufacturing problems are encountered before, during and after installation of new equipment or new construction.
10. Create complete and accurate process documentation and manufacturing instructions .
11. Prepare clear & concise technical/non-technical material (reports, presentations, etc.)
12. Effectively interact with Product, Process, Safety and Environmental department personnel as necessary.
13. Effectively work with people at all levels & within cross-functional team environments to identify problems and provide solutions .
14. Research and implement improvements in the cost, quality or delivery of our products.
15. Reviews approved manufacturing engineering criteria for new or proposed projects.
16. Coordinate asset tag procedures, together with Controlling, for all equipment/fixtures/tools.
17. Develop standards for major maintenance overhauls. Communicate adjustments to the plan with the Planner.
18. Perform related duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Qualified to diagnose & troubleshoot issues, and support maintenance activities related to serial production. Strong interpersonal skills and organizational aptitude. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory proponents.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
2. Several years of engineering experience in a high -volume automotive manuf. plant.
3. Experiences with lean manufacturing, JIT, OEE, line sequencing, KANSAN , etc.
4. Experienced as a leader of cost focused solutions to manufacturing issues.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must be fluent in English. Working-level second language skills is a plus. Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and directors, and to present to groups of customers or employees of the organization. Values and considers the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts and information typically taught during a four-year college or university course.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The environment will vary in this position based on assignments . When working in the office environment noise is generally minimal.
The environment in manufacturing plants and testing labs are often loud, hot, and with particulates in the air. Working environment may contain potentially hazardous materials such as acids, solvents, oils, and common etchants. In such environments, adherence to PPE regulations is required.
WORK HOURS
Employees must be able to work additional hours and/or additional days during the payroll week which can be in excess of forty (40) hours per payroll week.

Domestic/international travel with/without overnight stay may be requested
