About the Role: We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join the Regulated Fiber team who is capable of running multiple pieces of equipment in a regulated environment with a diverse team. The Regulated Fiber area is a fast-paced operation that requires team members to work together and perform many functional tasks from receiving raw materials to packaging finished product. Standard hours for this evening shift are 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
  • Set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and monitor quality for manufacturing and QC testing processes
  • Manufacture product in all facets of fiber production process in collaboration with the rest of the shift
  • Ensure associate safety, product quality, and productivity through strict adherence to safety protocols, quality procedures, work instructions, and operating parameters
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and production data
  • Understand and effectively utilize the manufacturing execution system to manufacture material and collect/input relevant data
  • Exercise and continually develop good personal judgement and consult/collaborate with others when appropriate
  • Collaborate with others to fairly distribute the team’s workload and enable the team to meet its goals
  • Receptive and responsive to feedback from others while providing constructive, meaningful, and timely feedback to teammates
  • Maintain a positive attitude and actively engage in team discussions and activities
  • Build strong, personal relationships and encourage diversity of thought to enable team performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a defined Quality System and making good product quality decisions
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to learn more advanced systems
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and execute a manufacturing process and follow written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to apply good personal judgement and consult others when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing including responding to feedback
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 35 pounds and be on your feet the majority of the shift
  • Ability to work in a controlled/regulated environment which includes wearing a frock, PPE, etc

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with web based or continuous line manufacturing equipment
  • Experience in the manufacture of regulated products
  • Advanced knowledge/experience of an MES system
