Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:
The Marketing Manager for Softlines, Leathers, Toys and Hardlines (SLTH), North America reports to the VP/Global Head of Marketing of the Consumer Product Testing business and helps to design and implement end-to-end industry marketing and demand generation strategy for the exciting hardlines/softlines and retail sectors. The Marketing Manager works collaboratively with the SLTH Commercial team in North America to drive growth and advance market position for our robust suite of product safety, sustainability, and performance testing and certification offerings. The Marketing Manager is responsible for and empowered to drive growth in the North American market by: developing and maintaining effective industry-level competitive positioning; creating conversion driving messaging and value propositions for each service line; overseeing the design and implementation of marketing campaigns, programs and events to drive awareness, demand generation, sales enablement and customer retention; and for results monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and implementing effective business-to-business (B2B) marketing approach for account based marketing, events, digital marketing, campaign strategy, and messaging strategy/development. This role will collaborate as part of a commercial team with subject matter experts, sales leaders, marketing leadership, and business leadership and will have the opportunity to contribute to and lead a wide range of exciting strategic initiatives to drive growth and scale for Eurofins in North America for the Softlines, Leathers, Toys and Hardlines testing business.
Essential Job Duties:
- Manage development and implementation of demand generation oriented marketing plans, programs and campaigns, both short-and-long-range to generate sustainable sales pipeline.
- Implement, communicate, monitor, and report on SLTH North America Marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Advance messaging development, differentiation and positioning for Eurofins SLTH services and produce or oversee the production of a wide range of marketing deliverables in support of demand generation and thought leadership efforts.
- Analyzing or compiling voice of customer insights, competitive insights and/or other market research.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external vendors and agencies to support implementation of commercial initiatives and projects.
- Updates job knowledge by studying service descriptions, industry trends and by participating in both industry specific and B2B marketing specific educational opportunities.
- Represents department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established company standards and values at all times.
- Assists with other Marketing activities and duties as assigned/required.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, or closely related field.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, demand generation or technical communication-focused role.
- Experience in marketing for B2B professional services, testing inspection and certification, or related electrical/electronics industry is a plus.
- Demand generation, campaign development, and ABM marketing strategy and implementation experience.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, internally and externally.
- Must work well individually and collaboratively.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Able to think strategically and tactically, and to problem solve.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail, with solid follow-through and multi-tasking capabilities
- Travels up to 10% as needed for trade shows, meetings and client engagement.
