Job Summary
This position will lead the assessment, prioritization, execution and tracking of Key material performance projects under the umbrella of life cycle management, continuous improvement and COGS optimization workstream. Material Change Leader responsibilities include E2E project management, starting from project feasibility assessment, resource evaluation, payback, change implications, design timeline and tracking the execution.
The scope will cover Ingredients, packaging components and Supply Chain. This role interacts with and make recommendations to the site's senior leadership, as well as plant management. Material Change Leader will have direct report to KSOL. This position is viewed as a developmental opportunity leading to a greater responsibility within the Chattanooga CHC/Sanofi organization.
Location:
Position is based in Chattanooga, TN. Travels is limited, but may be required.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of materials development and qualification process for US CHC.
Prepare and present the business cases
Assess resources (cross-functional)
Evaluate implications
Design projects timeline
Assure excellence in execution
Liaise with vendors to optimize purchase portfolio through portfolio simplification and/or standardization.
Anticipate supply risk to existing materials and establish actions to mitigate.
Develop continuous improvement initiatives throughout the materials lifecycle to improve TCO.
Create a culture of excellence in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Involvement.
Use analytical tools to prepare and present project ideas.
Act as a catalyst for change.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure productivity and efficiency in all aspects of the assigned projects.
Responsible for maintaining confidential and sensitive information.

Necessary Skills:
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Products to include: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, and Outlook.

Ability to link continuous improvement to financial impact.

Qualifications:
BS in Engineering, Business Management or related STEM field required.
Knowledge and application of Lean/Six Sigma skills with proven results.
Experience:
2-3 years manufacturing experience leading projects are preferred.
