X-Bow Systems is looking to fill a new position for a Material Handler in Socorro, NM.

As a key member of a small, dynamic, and highly skilled team, you will be responsible for all inventory control, shipping and receiving, chemical and ordnance handling, and hazardous waste activities for an R&D production facility.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record new inventory as it is delivered; inspect and store it according to policy
• Track inbound shipments and ensure received shipments are appropriately stored and distributed to other locations as needed.
• Conduct physical inventory, compare results to computerized inventory, and reconcile any differences
• Coordinate shipping activities out of the warehouse, for distribution to other sites and customer deliveries
• Prepare outgoing shipments according to hazardous material regulations
• Handle hazardous material and ordnance, including storing and packaging, in accordance with safety and operating procedures
• Maintain tool control program for on-site and off-site use
• Maintain calibration records and coordinate calibration procedures
• Maintain compliant logs and records for hazardous materials stored on-site
• Follow all operating instructions and safety policies
• Resolve routine equipment issues
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems
• Must be willing to learn how to use new equipment and WMS systems
• Must be able to get certified to operate a forklift
• Must adhere to all safety rules and requirements
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certification preferred
• Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
