The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager and will supervises the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Mechanical team.
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor’s duties include but is not limited to the following:

  • Oversees daily tasks and provides technical assistance, guidance and recommendations
  • Reviewing and assisting in establishing day-to-day work order priorities
  • Inspecting and approving completed work done by the mechanic
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance work
  • Monitors preventative and predictive maintenance throughout facility including mobile equipment maintenance
  • Conducts daily tailgate/turnover meetings with workgroup for safety & production
  • Scheduling and attending safety training as required
  • Monitors tool and spare parts requirements and verifies that adequate provisions for such equipment are included in the Inventory Control Systems
  • Evaluates recommendations & develops work scopes/plans for plant improvement
  • Maintain the Maintenance Management System by inputting work orders and creating/updating requisitions
  • Monitors tech progression program and evaluates direct reports for technical advancements
  • Performs annual review assessments
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate personal files.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with multiple work groups

Position Requirements:

The position of Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor requires an individual having at least ten (10) years’ experience in power and/or industrial plant mechanical or electrical maintenance, including a minimum of 5 years, first-line supervisory responsibilities and experiencing in planning and coordinating major/overhaul projects.
While a degree is desirable, a management/supervisory background that crosses craft boundaries and encompasses maintenance planning and support areas such as spare parts control and subcontractor coordination is acceptable.
Computer skills, formal technical training and at minimum a High School Diploma or GED. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Effective communication skills.

Must be willing to work all shifts when needed.
