We are looking to fill our vacant Medical Assistant position in Bellflower, CA. We would love to speak to you if you have:

One year of MA/phlebotomy experience

Blood draw experience

Completed a CA-approved Medical Assistant program

A desire to start your career in clinical research

As a Medical Assistant, you’re responsible and accountable for the accuracy and timeliness in performing blood draws of inpatients and/or outpatients. You will assist in conducting clinical trials by but not limited to collecting biological samples, performing venipuncture, electrocardiograms, vital sign measurements, tube labeling, appropriate disposal of biological specimens.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Draws blood from patients and prepares blood samples for tests and procedures and use proper personal protective equipment
• Explains procedures to patients by providing a calm environment
• Stores blood samples, puts blood samples in accurately marked containers, adds stains to the blood samples as required, and completes samples for specific tests
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory readings of a patient when working as part of a medical team
• Update patient records with detailed patient information through computer data entry and record keeping

Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hr

Shift Available: Night (6:00pm – 6:30am)
