Medical billing or insurance experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and resolve claim rejections and denials through internal processes and outbound communication with insurance companies.
• Identify trending issues with payer rejections/denials.
• Communicate effectively with management, other team members, and clients about denial trends affecting insurance payment, including suggested solutions;
• Answer inbound phone calls from patients and insurance companies.
• Assist patients to resolve their account balance, including explaining insurance issues, identifying and obtaining necessary information, and requesting/arranging payment.
• Contribute to the team by taking ownership of existing tasks, accepting new tasks, and seeking ways to improve the process.
• Duties and responsibilities may be modified as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years in the Medical Billing field (Preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, along with proper spelling and grammar
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently with little oversight
• Ability to clearly express information, both written and verbal
• Critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving
• Ability to prioritize and manage a large workload/multi-task
• Computer competency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Well organized and detail-oriented
• Dependability
• Adherence to a high level of professional and ethical standards (including accordance with HIPPA standards)
