Medical office coordinator with Certified Medical Assistant experience Job at DDCA
We are looking for a skilled, organized and experienced Clinical Office Coordinator to join our healthcare team. You will perform a combination of various administrative and clinical tasks. As a Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of our medical offices. You will support doctors, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and patients with a variety of tasks related to patient care, communication, and organization in an efficient and timely manner.
Administrative responsibilities include greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and updating and filing patient's medical records, billing and coding expertise needed.
Clinical responsibilities include taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to the patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during examinations.
Pay will be based on experience.
Our clinics are in North Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow and Lake Wales.
Medical Office Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, answer phones, and take messages
- Schedule appointments and patient follow-ups
- File insurance forms and call insurance companies with questions about coverage
- Prepare rooms and ensure supplies are ready, ordering more when necessary
- Assist in procedures and examinations
- Take and record patient vitals
- Conduct lab testing and follow up with results
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment, and medications
- coordinating with various agencies, including insurance companies, hospitals and medical offices, to assist our doctors and mid-level providers in taking care of patients
- Candidates must be flexible and able to work in all clinic locations. Candidates are required to work in one Saturdays half day in a month
Medical Office Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a medical field
- 5+ years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital
- Strong customer service skills
- Inventory management experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Medical office Administrative experience
- Coding experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
