Orthopedic Medical Receptionist
The Center for Advanced Orthopedics (CAO) is a busy orthopedic practice located in Maryville, IL. We are looking for a highly-qualified, motivated individual to join our professional team and assist our orthopedic surgeons and nurse practitioner with day-to-day involvement of the practice. The ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive and be able to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Contacting insurance companies on a daily basis to check insurance eligibility.
Ensure daily operations at the front desk run smoothly and efficiently.
Greet patients, monitor wait times and address any questions or concerns while providing excellent and compassionate customer service.
Efficiently manage incoming and outgoing phone calls, schedule patient appointments along with other clerical duties.
Qualifications:
Experience in a medical setting preferred, but not required as a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic go a long way.
Knowledge with CPT codes, ICD-10 codes and insurance verification processes.
Ability to work independently with little direction.
Superb customer service.
Possess excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and technology skills.
Maintain professionalism in all aspects, including daily interactions and communication with patients, physicians, staff and vendors, as well as a professional appearance.
Attention to detail, organized, ability to learn quickly and multi-task.
Must be able to pass background check
Hourly wage:
Hourly rate depending on experience. Starting at $12.00/hour.
Monday: 7:30-4, Tuesday 7:30-4, Thursday 7:30-4, Friday 7:30-4 (32 hours per week)
Occasionally may need to travel to satellite offices to provide reception coverage in Bethalto & Staunton. Mileage pay is provided.
No Weekends/Holidays

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
