Responsibilities

• Travel up to 50% of the time, and will consist of driving to locations close to your home, as well as driving to locations that require overnight travel for up to a week at a time.

• Use a laptop computer and a portable scanner to retrieve medical records which will be uploaded into a database.

• Schedule appointments and visits to physician offices in a timely and efficient manner to meet all deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Must have reliable automobile transportation

• Must be able to carry Humana approved equipment to provider site locations and lift a minimum of 50lbs

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel

• Working knowledge of computers, or a demonstrated technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems

• Live within reasonable commutable distance of the assigned market area

• This job is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits and requires running a Motor Vehicle Report as part of the background check process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in health care environment/managed care

• Familiarity with medical codes CPT and ICD-10 Codes

• 1 or more years’ experience with Medical Records, hospital and/or medical office setting

Additional Information

• This is a work-at-home position which requires travel to local and occasional out of town travel to provider offices for half the year.

• Must be located in Bristol/Abington, VA area.

Work at Home Guidance

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
