Member Experience Representative Job at Fairmont Federal Credit Union
The Member Experience Representative (MER) is responsible to perform a variety of frontline duties and create a highly personalized experience for members by identifying their needs and recommending the best financial solutions. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Solution-minded by listening, genuinely caring about, quickly addressing individuals needs and requests, from lobby counter, office area, or drive-thru.
- Uphold Vision, Mission and Values when dealing with co-workers, our members and the communities we serve.
- Receive and process financial transactions, including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, redeem savings bonds and more.
- Open and change applicable accounts, term share certificates, and debit cards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, services, related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain and balance assigned cash drawer.
- Perform branch vault and ATM responsibilities, as needed.
- Provide clear and concise communication by phone, email and in-person; perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Perform branch opening and closing activities.
- May serve as a mentor, assisting new and existing team members, as needed.
- Must be available to work a schedule rotation based on operating hours. Generally assigned a home branch, may cover other locations or be assigned a different home branch based on operational need.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities include, but not limited to:
Experience and Education
- One year to three years of similar or related experience
- High School Education or GED
Other Skills
- Caring individual that treats others with respect and dignity
- Well-developed communication and service skills
- Competence with computers and software programs, computer keyboard by touch, knowledge of general office machines
- Accuracy in cash handling, basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Excellent analytical skills to assist in using available resources for appropriate decision-making regarding member transactions.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to walk or sit; needs to be able to stand for extended period of time.
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must frequently or occassionarlly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

Job Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Monongalia County
Pay: From $15.75 per hour. Compensation commensurate of experience and qualifications.
