SALARY/WAGE: $33-$35per hour

STATUS: NON-EXEMPT, 30-40 HRS/WK (Full Time)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Insights is a drug and alcohol recovery program that empowers youth to take responsibility and facilitate positive, lasting change for themselves and their families. Through case management and individual, group, and family counseling, participants learn about anger management, relationships, mental health, communicating with parents, and more.


POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The position includes assisting of day-to-day operations of Daly City and Redwood City outpatient treatment centers serving adolescents with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. Mental health clinician is to provide intake assessments, individual, group, family and psycho-educational services for clients, and assign clients to clinicians as needed. Mental health clinician is to oversee on-site clinicians and collaborate with program manager/director and clinical supervisors to ensure that high quality substance abuse and mental health services consistent with the agency mission are delivered. Mental health clinician is to assist with maintaining order and organization on site. Mental health clinician is to assist with training staff, facilitating clinician compliance with paperwork as well as compliance with data organization and collection.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Must have Graduate degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • Registered with the BBS.
  • Must have demonstrable and verifiable skills, abilities, and qualities commensurate with specific position requirements.
  • Demonstrable and verifiable clinical skill in providing therapy services including legal and ethical understanding and documentation adherence.
  • Understanding of diversity issues, willingness to explore self in relation to these issues, and ability to provide culturally informed therapeutic services to diverse clientele.
  • Strong organization, communication, supervisory, and leadership skills.
  • Function as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the agency’s expectations with weekly meetings with Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, and other staff.
