MSP IT Desktop Support / Help Desk Tier 1

We are a local IT company that offers IT services and support for small to large size businesses. Our primary focus is providing high-quality white-glove IT service to our clients via MSP Model. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team of highly experienced techs.

The hired MSP IT Desktop Support / Help Desk Tier 1 needs to have sufficient knowledge of desktop and laptop computers and troubleshooting, knowledge of Windows operating systems and Servers and commonly associated issues, Microsoft Office and troubleshooting, and related types of issues and troubleshooting.

This is a position for an MSP IT Desktop Support / Help Desk Tier 1. The hired individual will be interacting with customers, end-users, troubleshooting issues on systems, and providing general technical support both on-site at customer locations and remotely.

MSP IT Desktop Support / Help Desk Tier 1 Job Requirements:

– Knowledge of Ticketing Systems and Monitoring Software is a plus

– Handling of Managed Solutions from different providers

– Computer Hardware; Software Troubleshooting

– Strong background with Windows 7-10, Office flavors, Windows Servers all flavors, Firewalls/Routers/Switches, Active Directory

– Office 365 admin tasks a must

– Desktop support knowledge; fixing Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook

– Installation and management of software (updates, tools, etc.)

– Customer Service Support over the phone or on-site

– Remote Support knowledge

– Networking/troubleshooting knowledge

– Knowledge of Windows and Servers, Active Directory, Exchange On-Prem or Office 365

– General knowledge of IT Support client handling; customer service scenarios

– Setting up of mobile devices from different vendors and different requirements


Successful candidate must have good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure and deadlines and to effectively handle complex customer situations.


MSP IT Desktop Support / Help Desk Tier 1 Education/Experience:

– 1-2+ years of related experience in a similar environment company

– College degree preferred

– Experience in a professional/corporate IT environment with troubleshooting and providing effective Help Desk support is a must!

MSP IT Desktop Support / Help Desk Tier 1 Salary Range: $45k-55k
