Lockheed Martin is seeking a Multi-Functional Quality Manager for a position in Troy, AL to provide Quality Leadership for the THAAD business area at Pike County Operations (PCO). The candidate will be responsible for leadership of Quality Engineers and Inspectors assigned to THAAD program.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm.

All aspects of quality for THAAD. Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations.

Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes.

Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.

Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements.

Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within THAAD.

Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends.

Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements.

Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters.

Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA
Basic Qualifications:
Technical degree at the Bachelor level or above

Working knowledge of Quality Engineering methods, processes, and tools

Experience with AS9100 Quality systems

Experienced in reading and interpreting drawings and standards

Experienced in using various inspection measurement tools

Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment
Desired Skills:
Technical degree at the Bachelor level or above in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Ten or more years of related experience

Defense contractor or military contractor experience

Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods

Previous Quality leadership experience in an ordinance manufacturing environment

Ability to work with and around explosives
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
