Duties

  • Through subordinate activity managers, is responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Support Division.
  • Performs liaison with and coordinates programs with AAFES and other garrison agencies and serves on a variety of activity councils to keep informed of operations and/or to coordinate programs and requirements.
  • Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures; and implements regulations to ensure functions are carried out in accordance with governing laws, policies, regulations, and professional standards of service.
  • Provides leadership and supervision, and communicates mission and organization goals to subordinates. Applies knowledge of programming, planning, and budgeting and long-range MWR resources.
  • Reviews and evaluates progress of program plans to determine whether overall objectives are being accomplished economically with reference to budget and manpower

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Work Experience directing/managing one or more DFMWR Support Management programs for a Garrison, or similar civilian community, for at least one year.
  • Knowledge of programming, planning, budgeting, and long range planning.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience overseeing NAF budget and financial management operations at or above the NF-04 or equivalent level.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with external Directorates and/or Commands on installation-wide planning.
  • Experience with or detailed knowledge of MWR programming processes.
  • Experience with or detailed knowledge of Non-appropriated Fund construction processes.
  • Experience with or detailed knowledge of Non-Appropriated Fund IT processes.
  • Experience with or detailed knowledge of Non-Appropriated Fund Marketing, Sponsorship & Advertising processes.

A rental car is NOT authorized. In addition, some individuals may also be authorized Temporary Quarters Subsistence Expenses (TQSE).
