Network Engineers install new systems to improve internal and client communication structures while maintaining the upkeep of existing networks. In this position, you will:

• Establish and maintain IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks
• Make sure that the networks are protected from malware and viruses, identifying areas that might be under threat and areas where security can be improved, keeping up to date on ever-changing cyber-threats.
• Install and maintain firewalls, establish, and maintain company-wide access policies to the internet.
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients as well as Meriplex employees.
• Perform analysis and collect data to establish the potential for improvements within the communication networks.
• Work with third-party providers to keep the networks running efficiently.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related IT field preferred or equivalent education and work experience preferred but not required.
• Proven work experience as a lead network engineer with a service provider background.
• Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Work Schedule/Travel:

• Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the ability to have a flexible schedule due to work volume and proposal deadlines are a must.
• Estimated 10% travel required.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary Work – Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
