Description:

Key Objectives

1. Provide network and consulting services to assigned clients. Review project scope and/or contract beforehand and demonstrate sound understanding of business requirements and technical solution.

2. Monitor and ensure the Client infrastructure is operating smoothly and that any modifications to the environment are executed without interruption during normal business hours.

3. Perform infrastructure monthly maintenance activities as defined by Client.

4. Acquire certifications required by Client.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate must not only demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess the necessary technical skills, but also have a strong desire to consistently learn and stay abreast with technology in various areas, including storage, virtualization, server administration, desktop imaging strategies, etc... Must demonstrate a strong presence and the ability to advise clients. A self-starter and internally motivated to enhance both business and technical process. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Requirements:

• Windows Infrastructure

o Infrastructure support experience within SMB market space

 Windows WIN10/11, Windows Server 2012R2 -2019

 Citrix Presentation/XenApp Server experience (Installation, Migration and Troubleshooting)

 Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V, VMWare, and Azure Virtual Desktop

o 3+ years of Windows 2012R2-2019 Administration and Troubleshooting

 Active Directory Administration, Backup and Recovery

 Group Policy Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting

 Server O.S Installations, Upgrades, Migrations

 Security/Patch delivery with WSUS or Third-Party Packages

 Experience with DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, NPS

o 3+ years of Microsoft Exchange 2016-2019

 Significant understanding of Exchange architecture and databases structures

 Ability to isolate complex Exchange issues

 Ability to provide perform complex database operations

 Proficiency with Exchange backup and recovery practices

• Network Infrastructure

o 3 years of network infrastructure administration and troubleshooting

 Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocol

 Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware

 Switches and routers: Cisco, Meraki, HP

 VLAN configurations and troubleshooting

 Experience with DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, NPS

o 2 Years of firewall & security administration

 Administration and troubleshooting of VPN issues

 Understanding & support of Cisco FTD, FortiGate, Palo Alto.

 Establish site-2-site VPN tunnels with clients.

 Client VPN configurations and troubleshooting

o 3 Years of LAN/WLAN administration 

Installing and troubleshooting stand-alone access points. 

Install, manage, and troubleshooting Wireless LAN Controllers.

 Understanding and support of Meraki, Cisco, Ubiquiti Access Points and controllers

o Upgrade, repair, and maintain computer networks.

o Assist network engineers with the design of network models whenever needed.

o Must demonstrate excellent communications, presentation and people skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Initial Preference:

• 5 days a week onsite at Naperville, IL facility, however, they are open to discussing the option of hybrid with at least the majority of the week in office.
• Hours are 8am-5pm with some need to work occasional evenings/weekends for emergencies or projects as required.
• Role will be a blend of both project and operations based. Supporting projects at Client's customers or supports the internal IT infrastructure within the diverse environment.

Travel:

Travel is required for this opening. Expectation is that this person will have to support a customer onsite in Vernon Hills area 1/2 times a week at most. There will also be a customer up in Milwaukee that will require onsite travel at least once a month.
