Role: Sr. Network Test Architect

Location: Austin TX (100% Onsite from Day 1) – no flexibility

Full Time (Non H1B): Max Salary: $130K

Contract (any visa): Max Rate: $75/hr

Job Description:

Scope:

• Designing and developing the test automation framework, test data management framework, harnesses, and code libraries to enable the team to both use and enhance them across projects
• Taking responsibility for test infrastructure including environments and software, liaising with teams such as DevOps and Support in areas such as CI/CD, containerization, and using other cloud native solutions
• Defining and administering standard testing architecture methodologies, processes, and tools across all engagements
• Providing technical leadership and support the creation of complex tests
• Ability to understand, develop and execute manual/automated test cases.

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Networking or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7 -10 years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, automating networking devices especially L2/L3 switches and networking related enterprise applications
• 5+ years of experience in Automation coding with Java, Python or Perl
• Engineer should be well versed with networking, virtualization, security technologies, and possess strong automation skills
• Experienced in designing/configure and testing network products like router and switches
• Experience in testing network security product like Firewall, SIM, DHCP etc.
• Deep understanding of L2/L3 network protocols such as Ethernet, OSPF, L2VPN, L3VPN, GRE, WireGaurd/IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf, BGP, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, Multicast
• Automation programming skills (Python, Perl) network virtualization, containerization, and Software Defined Networking (SDN) knowledge is required
• Experience using a variety of test tools such as Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent, open-source tool like TREX or iPerf is desired

Salary: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
