Mercy Medical Center is looking for an Occupational Health Assistant / Front Desk Representative to join our mission-driven health clearance team.

This extremely busy position provides front desk medical office support services in the employee health clearance area. Performs a wide range of secretarial / Administrative functions while supporting and assisting the staff of Occupational Health. Must truly be willing and able to multi-task at a very frantic pace!

Work Hours/Shift:

• Full-Time 40hr Mon-Fri, will be 7-3:30 or 8-4:30 (TBD)
  

You Will Be Responsible For :

• Exceptional Patient Care : Greets patients to department in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner and ensures that the wait time is comfortable

• Excellent Communicator : Answers phones and provide exceptional customer service.

• Technical Familiarity: Prepares and maintains patient's records, obtains accurate insurance and registration information. Understand medical Terminology. Maintains a broad familiarity with the scope, functions of the department

• Active Teamwork : Performs other special assignments as requested. Support staff with clerical tasks and participates in care team meetings

Requirements :

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required; College coursework in secretarial or medical sciences preferred

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years medical office secretarial experiences preferable

• Must be well organized, communicate clearly and maintain a calm and professional manner
