The Office 365 Technical Support Engineer is a member of the customer service team and is responsible for service requests from customers to work on client issues based on their urgency, and service level agreement (SLA). Strong customer relations are a must and the successful candidate must possess above average ability for working in a team-based environment. Follow-up to ensure that service has been completed to customer's satisfaction is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact to the customer for all types of support requests
  • Migrate new clients to Office 365
  • Support clients who have been migrated to Office 365
  • Providing support to our clients
  • Updating network infrastructure as needed to support clients
  • Creating & managing Users, groups in Active Directory on GUI & Core servers
  • Creating & managing shared drive permissions
  • Managing User mailbox, Distribution groups in Office 365
  • Troubleshooting Office 365 issues related to mail flow, spam, & calendar permissions administration
  • Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Help customers with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support needs
  • Survey customers to ensure their satisfaction
  • Develop processes and documentation as needed

Qualifications and Skills

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Office 365 Admin center experience
  • Fortinet Firewall experience
  • A working knowledge of ConnectWise is highly desirable but not required.
  • Ability to timely and accurately track support progress by filling in all details of the work into the ticketing system
  • Interpersonal skills such as phone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Strong desire to learn and grow (a growth mindset)
  • Technical awareness with an ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment

Experience:

  • Prior help desk experience is highly desirable
  • Computer skills in key Microsoft applications e.g. Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Office 365 user and administration skills
  • Fortinet Firewall administration experience
  • Networking troubleshooting skills

Ability to:

  • Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
  • Fast turnaround of customer requests
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Improve usage and increase productivity of support staff
  • Escalate service requests that cannot be scheduled within agreed service levels
