We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Room Manager to join our small Plastic Surgery private practice with an Accredited Surgery Center consisting of two operating rooms. The Operating Room Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgery center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing operating rooms, passing accreditations, and possessing in-depth knowledge of preauthorization for insurance claims. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure accurate preauthorization of insurance claims and timely reimbursement.

· Oversee the daily operations of the operating room, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

· Manage and supervise the operating room staff, including surgeon, nurses, anesthesiologists, and support personnel.

· Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures

· Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency, patient safety, and quality of care.

· Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and equipment functionality.

· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5+ years experience in operating room management, preferably in a plastic surgery private practice or surgery center setting.

· Proven track record of successfully passing accreditations as needed

· Maintaining accreditation compliance with regulatory standards.

· In-depth knowledge of preauthorization processes for insurance claims

· Strong leadership and management skills.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and quality improvement.

· Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic health records systems

· Knowledge of infection control protocols.
