Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a detail oriented, resourceful, critical thinker for our Operations Administrative Assistant role supporting our Corrugated operations in Huntsville, AL. This individual will add value by providing administrative and analytical support in the areas of Accounting, Human Resources, Customer Service and Operations. If you are a self-directed individual who also enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a transformative team, then this is the job for you. This role is to report to work onsite at the Huntsville facility.

Our Team
Georgia-Pacific Huntsville is part of GP's Packaging division and one of the leading corrugated box plants. We specialize in the conversion of corrugated sheets into corrugated boxes.

What You Will Do
- Performing administrative duties for multiple departments (filing, distributing mail, preparing reports, IT/system updates, inventory, management of training matric, organization of key common spaces/ conference rooms reconcile credit card transactions etc.)
- Processing accounting transactions (payable/receivable, general ledger)
- Participating in the safety, compliance, and internal control efforts for the site
- Maintain Record Management Files/File Room
- Assist with HR related duties such as new hire orientation, drug screening, etc.
- Implement and monitor programs as directed by management, and see the programs through to completion
- Partake in various projects/initiatives that will benefit our internal and external customers long-term
- Manage internal and external vendor relationships
- Assist operations team with inventory management
- Work occasional weekends as needed
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Experience working as an administrative assistant, office manager, or similar supporting roles
- Willing and able to work on the plant floor at least 10% of the time
What Will Put You Ahead
- Associate degree or higher in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement of Finance
- Experience with CMMS, and Workplace Management software (i.e. Tableau, Kronos, MP2, SAP, MOE, Ariba)
- Experience working in a Manufacturing or Industrial environment
