Our goal is to find a professionally driven individual to assist the president in keeping the business workflow process aligned and well organized. This important position also has a marketing function for keeping our products top-of-mind.

Example of Duties of Operations Manager:

Location: Main Sarasota office

Supervisory responsibilities: None

Reports directly to the President.

· Coordination and Supervision- Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments within PestWest. Evaluate for best performance and make recommendations for improvement and efficiency and profitability.

· Financial- Review financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and execute operational budgets and Corplan. Watch landed costs with finance and make changes accordingly. Coordinate inventory with appropriate personnel based on importing from the UK and Asia. Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the company.

· Best Practices- Improve processes and policies in support of PestWest goals. Formulate and implement organizational policies and procedures to maximize output based on the Corplan. Monitor adherence to regulations and procedures.

· Marketing - Coordinate and execute marketing strategizes with parent company in the UK. Americanize literature, evaluate labels and communicate with parent marketing team support literature for product launches and maintenance of other brands.

· Production- Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in warehousing, pricing and distribution of all materials. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of products. Manage quality of employee productivity.

· Communication- Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services from the UK such as IT, Marketing, Accounting and Finance. Facilitate coordination and balance communication between these support functions.

· Sales, Marketing and Customer Service - Manage customer support. Plan and support sales andmarketing activities keeping a watchful eye on profitability.

· Strategic Input– Co-op with President. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.

· Assist in training and maintaining exceptional service level of customer service personnel

Performance Requirements (knowledge. skills and abilities: College degree in business administration, or as determined by the President. Industry relevant experience is helpful, but not required. Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management. Knowledge of business and management principles and practices is a requirement. Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of project management principles and practices. Knowledge of the general principals of Marketing and practices.
