SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Responsible for monitoring, reporting and managing the adjustment of and change to functions and controls for the building automation systems; Report, monitor, respond, document, notify, alert and directly dispatch appropriate repair, service, and supervisory parties for all system alarms to include, but not limited to: fire alarm and protection systems, emergency line, utility, medical gas, water detection, and building systems; respond to all other emergencies and make proper notifications as per policies and procedures; document issues in BOC logbook and reports, create work orders as necessary, distribute information as required; serve as Facilities Department customer service representative.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree or equivalent knowledge with 2-3 years effective maintenance/operations (i.e. electrical, mechanical or technical experience required.

Familiarity with building systems, building trades, HVAC systems, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems, repairs and maintenance required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Excellent customer service skills required.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with building automation systems is highly desirable.

Computer and systems application software experience along with basic word processing skills are preferred.

Experience in a customer service capacity is highly desirable.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to stand occasionally; walk occasionally; sit occasionally.

Able to lift/carry 0-35 lbs occasionally.

Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.

Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping constantly.
