Summary: Watsonville Coast Produce, Inc. is a fresh fruit and vegetable wholesaler and distributor that has a full line of both organic and conventional product offerings. We currently have a great opportunity for an Order-Puller.

The Order-Puller is responsible for ensuring customer orders are safely and efficiently selected and loaded while maintaining WCPI’s exceptional standard of workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment background, physical and drug screen
• 6-months general labor experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience with forklift, electric pallet-jack & hand-truck a plus
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally in English
• Perform basic arithmetic (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and uses basic numerical concepts (e.g., whole numbers, percentages) to complete job tasks

Responsibilities

• Must pass pre-employment background, physical and drug screen
• Review customer pick-list for comments regarding color, quantity, quality, size & tagged product
• Isolate damaged product to designated area and notify supervision
• Communicate to Checker or supervision any short items, low inventory, quality issues or substitutions
• Builds pallets following proper stacking and storage methods to ensure stability and to prevent product damage
• Load and arrange all orders to ensure safe delivery of products to customers
• Keep record of completed orders
