The GIANT Company’s Perishable Distribution Center is looking to hire Full-Time Order Selector (2nd shift) positions to join their warehouse team in Carlisle, PA.

Position Overview

Our Perishable Distribution Center order selectors prepare product orders that are shipped to our retail stores and e-commerce facilities with timeliness, accuracy, and quality. In addition to lifting product up to 55 lbs. throughout the shift, 2nd shift order selectors select dairy items for store and e-commerce orders. They collaborate with the Shipping, Receiving, Sanitation, Workplace Safety, and Transportation teams, follow safety guidelines, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

The Perishable Distribution Center is a 24/7, 362 day a year, refrigerated operation servicing approximately 200 retail stores and e-commerce facilities throughout PA, MD, VA and WV.

• 2nd shift order selectors work a nighttime weekend schedule (Thursday - Monday; 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM)
• Unlimited overtime and extra day work available
• Multiple premium and performance-based financial incentive programs available
• A comprehensive one-on-one training experience with innovative and modern technology is provided
• 2 – 13 week training period, based on knowledge and experience. Weeks 1 – 2 are typically a M – Th nighttime schedule.

Qualifications and Abilities

· Must be 18 years of age or older.

· Possess strong customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail.

· Basic English and mathematics understanding.

· Good physical condition with ability to stand, walk and move efficiently throughout the facility.

· Ability to lift and carrying up to 55 lbs.

· Independent, adaptable, and flexible with the ability to thrive in a changing fast-paced environment.

· Tolerance for working in a refrigerated and humidity-controlled environment.

· Reliable and punctual with the ability to report to work during inclement weather.

· Previous pallet jack experience is helpful, but not required.

Primary Job Responsibilities

· Support The GIANT Company brand, values, and culture.

· Overtime may be required, periodically.

· Carefully select and fulfill orders by building and wrapping product pallets to be shipped to retail stores and e-commerce facilities.

· Follow automated voice pick system and maintain production, performance, quality, and safety standards.

· Manage production while ensuring minimal product damage or waste.

· Identify and mark pallets with proper labels.

Additional Details

· 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM: Thursday – Sunday or Friday – Monday

· 4 day work week schedule

· Base pay starting at: $17.00/hour

· Opportunity for $2,500 retention and $2,000 referral bonuses; $0.50 cold climate, $1.00 night, and $2.00 weekend premiums

· Ability to earn up to an additional $7.50/hr in incentive pay for high performance

· Ability to work night and weekend shifts
