TITLE: Outside Sales/ Perforating Sales Delivery

REPORTS TO: Vice President

Position Summary:

This position requires an extensive knowledge of the Wireline portion of the Oil and Gas drilling industry and isresponsible for quoting, ordering, calling on customers, delivering and picking up equipment and managing projects. This position is considered “Outside of the Shop/Office” and does require travel or delivery of materials.

Job Description/Expectations:

· Must attend work as established by employer without excessive absenteeism

· Conduct oneself in a professional manner that represents a positive image of FHE

· Become familiar with products and their usage, inventory & pricing schedules

· Become familiar with our Perforating Sales process and be able to sell and deliver Perforating products to customers (requires Hazmat clearance)

· Call on established customers as well as potential customers not currently using FHE for their service and new equipment needs

· Once familiar with FHE operations, quote prices for service projects

· Anticipate needs of customers so that their projects can flow in a timely, productive manner

· Prepare material estimates for new assembly equipment

· Create orders and invoices with the company’s computer software system and be able to retrieve information from the system when needed

· Work with shipping and receiving for scheduling of deliveries

· Make phone calls to customers: established and new in order to increase sales

· Follow up on open orders to make sure outstanding orders are properly charged out and special order items are being tracked

· Follow through on customer requests

· Handle any customer issues in a timely, diplomatic manner

· Service other salesman’s accounts when they are unavailable

· Become familiar with customers, who they are, and what their projects are.

· File contact reports

· File expense reports

· Attend all company meetings

· May assist with loading orders for customers

· Maintain any equipment (vehicle, telephone, computer, etc.) issued by whatever means are appropriate (oil changes, updates, etc.)

· Report vehicle problems to Vice President

Education/Experience:

One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Expertise:

Knowledge of the Pressure Control/ Wireline Industry a Must.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must have good computer skills and knowledge.

Environmental Conditions and Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be in the office.
• Travel to Customer’s sites by vehicle will be a standard operation.
• There may be exposure to certain contaminants, at times.
• This position may work in and out of a warehouse setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate although noise levels in the shop or at the location of customers may be higher.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk as well as drive a vehicle.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
