Park Monitors are the connection between people and their potential. Your primary responsibility is to ensure safety and well-being of the park guests. Your goal is to provide the appropriate assistance, guidance and encouragement to help guests overcome their fears and reach their potential. It is the duty of the Park Monitor to ensure each guest has an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Responsibilities

*Harness guests with appropriate gear, deliver instructional safety briefing and gear demonstration *Coach participants on proper climbing and belay transfer technique *Assist with orientation and participant ground school training sessions *Clearly communicate safety procedures and guidelines to large groups of guests *Model appropriate risk management through effective communication, accurate record-keeping, regular skill development, adherence to company operating procedures, and on-course behavior *Assist in Course maintenance, customer service, and operational tasks *Observe and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the park, ensuring guests use equipment properly and safely. *Perform assists and provide guests with guidance as needed *Perform daily course inspections and equipment checks *Processing of equipment *Assisting in park event set-up and coordination as needed *General facility cleaning duties, trash runs, vacuuming, wiping down tables and benches, harness processing, etc.

Qualifications

*Must be 18+ years of age *Comfortable working at height *Reliable with strong work ethic and personal integrity *Possess a genuinely friendly and outgoing disposition when working with guests and team members *Attention to detail and an extreme dedication to safety *Strong communication skills and strategies representing passion when working with people of all ages and abilities *Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility required when working in a high-energy environment to meet the varied needs of guests without drama *Comfortable with public speaking and providing regular presentations to groups of up to 30 people throughout the day *Manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously, seamlessly moving from one to the another. *Demonstrate strong organizational skills and high attention to detail in approaching tasks and projects *Possess the confidence to assess workplace situations, take initiative and work independently to provide the ideal Summit Ropes experience *Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and spend up to eight hours standing and walking *Climbing or previous ropes course experience preferred, but not required

Schedule

This is an hourly, year-round, part-time position. This position requires a candidate who can work a flexible schedule. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $12.00 - $16.00/hour.
