THE DRIPBaR is growing and is opening soon in Gahanna- New Albany. Our concept is simple. We provide our clients with the freshest, highest quality intravenous and intramuscular vitamin drips that deliver essential nutrients right at the cellular level for maximum absorption.
We are looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner with exceptional communication skills who is passionate about healthy living, and open minded to new innovation. This Nurse Pracitioner will provide initial consults to all clients, provide client education, and initiate IV’s and administer IV infusion therapy. Experience in aesthetics is a plus!
Specific Qualifications:
1. Nurse Practitioner active, unrestricted license in the state of Ohio; graduate of accredited program
2. Must have excellent IV inserting, monitoring and removing IV catheters.
3. Previous experience administering IV infusion therapy
4. Current BLS CPR certification
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide initial client consults and follow ups.
■ Answers questions and provides information to patients on compound ingredients, dosage, storage medication(s), use of medication(s), pertinent interaction(s) and other information relating to the compounded medication(s)
■ Mixes pharmaceutical and vitamin preparations and appropriately labels containers
■ Establishes and maintains compounding records and enters prescription data accurately
■ Assists the clinic team in providing patient care
■ Assists in maintaining inventory of the IV area, including, but not limited to: labels, medication, compounding ingredients, vials, etc.
■ Cleans and helps maintain equipment and work areas according to SOPs
■ Maintains proper storage and security conditions of vitamins, ingredients and finished compounds
■ Follows established SOPs, assists with formulation development of new SOPs and data entry, and competence in mathematical calculations
■ Effectively communicates with prescribers and other healthcare professionals, conveying appropriate information to designated staff for proper compounding of IV vitamins and IM Quickshots
■ Attends professional meetings and interacts professionally with patients, staff and external associates as needed
■ Delegates tasks to other staff members according to individual strengths/weaknesses.
■ Oversees SOP implementation, training verification, formulation of medications, CQI, quality of ingredients, staffing requirements, patient-specific needs, and any other aspect of work in the IV area
■ Evaluate, plan, implement and document nursing care for clients
■ Prepare IV & IM vitamins for administration with appropriate technique
■ Inserting, monitoring and removing IV - ensuring needles and tubing stay in place during treatment, and procedure is done as easily and comfortably as possible. Oversight of the client during the infusion process
■ Reviewing treatment plans and ensuring the clients are up to date with labs and f/u appointments
■ Clean and maintain infusion room & sterile hood
■ Various Office and Customer Service duties to include but not limited to scheduling appointments, verifying the correct forms are filled out and complete, reviewing health history forms, and providing excellent customer service
■ Performs venipuncture. Possible accesses implanted ports or PICC lines
■ Orders and maintains adequate IV supplies
■ Triage's patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the client’s chart
■ Follows Daily, Weekly, Monthly Requirements for Lab and staff
■ Additional tasks as needed
General Qualifications:
● Required to listen & speak with patients and coworkers.
● Required see patients, medical devices and equipment.
● Frequently required to walk, stand and sit. Use hands to use/hold various compounding equipment and machinery. Reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to manipulate equipment or storage of supplies.
● Occasional lifting of equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and carrying objects of varying weights.
● Position requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
● Position requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior (even in very difficult situations).
●Position requires being open to change (positive and negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.
● Ability to work effectively with a number of different personalities where patience is required.
● Frequent work interruptions.
● Strong venous access skills; must be able to access peripheral veins easily without backup.
● Availability to work evening and weekend hours if needed, and flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice.
