We seek a creative, personable, and organized individual to serve as our next Office & Communications
Administrator. This position is an integral part of the ministries of PCLP.

Position Overview

The Office & Communications Administrator provides support to church staff, church leaders, and members of the congregation, functioning as the primary contact person for all internal and external church-related communications. The Office & Communications Administrator works independently using a high degree of initiative, creativity, and wisdom in developing and employing resources to organize, facilitate, and implement their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Communications a. Website: With guidance from ministry leaders, edit, upload, and maintain content for church website. Content will be written primarily by ministry leaders in consultation with Office &
Communications Administrator, with editing and graphics support from the Office &
Communications Administrator. b. Social Media: With guidance from ministry leaders, edit, upload, and maintain content for church website. Content will be written primarily by ministry leaders in consultation with Office &
Communications Administrator, with editing and graphics support from the Office &
Communications Administrator. c. Graphic Design and Picture Creation: Create visually interesting communications, using varying media (pictures, graphics, art, written text) that further PCLP’s mission, programs, and ministries, and incorporate created content into all appropriate platforms (website, social media, e-mail, print, etc.) d. Ensure all visual media in the church building (bulletin boards, media racks, entry points, posted flyers, etc.) are up to date, visually welcoming, informative, and accurate e. Update church LED sign f. Format, publish, and distribute electronic and hard-copy versions of monthly newsletter g. Format, publish, and distribute electronic and hard-copy versions of weekly e-blast h. Maintain and update elements of phone, internet, and other aspects of technology as appropriate

2. Congregational Engagement a. In communication with Pastor/Head of Staff, create and send bulletins and worship leader information for weekly worship services b. Prepare slides & other visuals as needed for Sunday worship livestream in collaboration with

Pastor/Head of Staff and musicians. c. Coordinate communications and create bulletins for funerals, weddings, and other special worship services d. Maintain schedules as requested for Sunday morning duties (liturgist, flowers, etc.) e. When notified that a congregation member is hospitalized, notify Pastor and Elder for Member

Care f. Coordinate volunteers for office activities and projects

3. Clerical a. Receptionist for all church-related encounters (in person, phone, email) b. Maintain church calendar c. Maintain member database information on designated software and prepare associated reports upon request d. Maintain lists for in-office use such as church officers, homebound, and hospitalized members e. Maintain weekly worship attendance on designated software and prepare associated reports upon request f. Create baptism, confirmation, membership transfer, & wedding certificates g. Monitor and order supplies as needed h. Ensure church office space is inviting, well-organized, and stocked i. Receive and process requests for church facility use j. Schedule space (in the building or on Zoom) for group meetings as requested by staff and ministry team leaders k. Communicate to custodian setup of tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and events l. Prepare Annual Report by collecting reports, collating, and distributing m. Attend staff meetings n. Run errands as needed

4. Other duties as requested or approved by Pastor/Head of Staff

Skills Required:
· Working knowledge of: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, Google Workplace (Gmail, slides, sheets, docs, drive), Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

· Working knowledge of, or expectation to learn, administration of the following: Dropbox, PowerChurch,
Canva, YouTube, FaithConnector, MailChimp

· Excellent written and oral communications skills – the ability to write and edit your own copy is essential, with consistently strong use of correct grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation

· Ability to problem-solve and prioritize daily tasks, long-term projects, and member requests

Qualifications:
· Present a pleasant demeanor to the public

· Self-motivated and self-starter, willingness to learn new skills, team player

· Organized and detail-oriented

· Able to exercise good judgment in the handling of sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality as appropriate

· Must have a valid driver’s license and a working, dependable vehicle

· Must pass a criminal background check which includes a credit check

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

· Background in marketing, communications, or advertising (preferred)

Schedule:
· Part-Time Position, 20-30 hours/week, with at least 20 hours/week dedicated to a fixed schedule of on- site office hours between 9-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The rest of the hours may be flexible and worked on-site or remotely as agreed upon by employee and Pastor/Head of Staff.

· Holidays, sick leave, vacation as outlined in the Personnel Policy of PCLP

Compensation
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Relationships: The Office & Communications Administrator reports to the Pastor/Head of Staff with accountability to and recourse through the Personnel Ministry Team Elder.
