JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to obtain accurate demographic, financial, diagnostic, and insurance data and enter data into electronic medical records to initiate claims processing. The Patient Registrant strives to minimize patient arrival time to the treatment area, improving customer satisfaction as it relates to the registration process, wait time, and general communications. The patient registrant will greet all patients, visitors, and customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent required
EXPERIENCE
- Registration, billing, and Epic experience is preferred
- Strong customer service skills required
- Experience using an electronic medical records system preferred
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to type 50-60 words per minute
- Ability to multi-task
- Highly organized
