Headquartered in Kennesaw, GA, DAS’ is a leading, full-service operator of automotive repair shops, serving over 120,000 vehicles annually. DAS currently has 25 automotive repair sites across the U.S., in attractive, high-growth metropolitan markets, including AZ, CO, GA, TX, and TN.

DAS is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to administer all payroll functions for our company.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years of processing full-cycle multi-state in-house payroll in a mid-size payroll department. Possess a thorough understanding of payroll processing, pay calculations, pay standards, wage and hour laws, billing, and accounting principles.

Previous experience working with Time & attendance files and systems, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and have HRIS experience preferably in Paylocity or ADP. CPP Certification is highly desired.

This position is not remote.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees; including reviewing and uploading, and reconciling time files from various systems into the payroll system attendance systems, administering regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary
  • Process set up/maintenance of garnishment records, remitting payments to agencies, and customer service calls from agencies and affected associates
  • Assist with year-end processing (i.e., W-2s, balancing totals to reports, and 1095)
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the human resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes
  • Evaluate and implement payroll/HRIS systems upgrades and changes, if necessary
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly tax reports as needed and submit them in a timely manner
  • Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees
  • Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and human resources requirements
  • Ensure bi-weekly payrolls are processed timely and accurately
  • Process manual checks, correct errors in employee maintenance, wage and hour questions, and all payroll-related areas
  • Provide support and education/training for other applicable personnel
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures as needed
  • Proactively anticipate customer (Location) needs and build trusting relationships through collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Work with banking in processing direct deposit rejections and reversals
  • Provide needed reports to the field, Corporate Accounting/Finance department
  • Work with other administrators in setting up/maintaining garnishment records, remitting payments to agencies, and calls from agencies and affected associates
  • Point of Contact for general liability insurance, claims, billing
  • Reconcile company benefits bills (medical, dental, vision, std, life, voluntary benefits)
  • Upload 401k remittance
  • Verification of Employment
  • All other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business
