Payroll Specialist
****MUST HAVE PAYROLL EXPERIENCE****
Desert de Oro Foods, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to be a part of our Payroll team in our Kingman headquarters. This is a full-time position with great benefits.
A Payroll Specialist processes employee paychecks by collecting payroll data and timesheets. The duties include verifying employees’ work hours and processing payment through the payroll system, issuing deductions, earnings and other statements to employees, updating payroll records regularly and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions
- Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages
- Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
- Other projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
- Experience with Accounting Software such as Sage 100, QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc.
- Advanced level Excel skills
- Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

- Keen attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Good research and analysis skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-paced environment
- Must be able to work in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
