A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Exemplifies the Edgewater guest service values and is solution oriented with an eye for process improvement elevating the team's experience and our hotel's compliance
  • Point of contact for pay related questions
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with management to facilitate accurate pay roll
  • Calm under pressure, finds positive solutions to obstacles to meet deadlines
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for tipped, non-tipped and salary employees
  • Maintain records
  • Processes and maintain union related payments and enrollment for dues and health trust and other reporting
  • Supports the administration of non-union health and welfare plans and 401K, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Reconciles benefits statements.
  • Performs administrative functions including filing, mail.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum three to five years of recent payroll processing in large organization, required.
  • Tipped and union payroll experience preferred.
  • Tech Savvy and has experience leveraging technology to improve processes and accuracy. Strong excel skills, formulas, pivot tables, etc.- a must.
  • Manages ambiguity, maintaining ability to work independently
  • Has a strong analytical ability to interpret, connect data
  • Is able to foster a positive environment despite setbacks
  • Has the ability to easily adjust or change working style or course of action when circumstances require it, as well as the ability to determine when those circumstances are met
  • Is able to form and maintain strong relationships built on trust at all levels within the organization, strong professional boundaries
  • Is able to move things (process, procedures and people related projects) forward
  • Has the ability to maintain poise and professionalism in all settings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
