PERMIT ADMINISTRATOR
OVERALL SUMMARY and RESPONSIBILITIES
As a permit administrator, you will be responsible for our zoning due diligence with all new projects. In addition, you will conduct research and become familiar with local zoning codes as they related to signage. Your attention to detail and insight are critical to the success of a project. In addition, your strong written and verbal communication and follow-up skills will bring clarity and timely action to the zoning and permitting process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Additional duties may be assigned as needed.)
PERMIT ADMINISTRATOR:
- Apply for, and secure all permits necessary for projects
- Research, obtain, read, understand, and interpret zoning laws for all municipalities and communicate them to sales and project coordinators.
- Administer all aspects of sign variance situations, including preparing materials, attending municipality meetings, and presenting the case to the municipal boards.
- Contact MISS DIG schedule services before sign installation
- Coordinate inspections for signs
- Process bid bond and bond requests, monitor status of bond/project, review final cost, submit closing documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience with zoning administration and enforcement is a plus!
- We will train and mentor high potential candidate
- Natural desire for research and attention to detail
- Strong follow up and project planning skills
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
