Summary:

We're searching for a Screening Associate, - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist with access control, visitor management, and screening of staff and visitors who present themselves for entry into Texas Children's buildings and secure areas. This position will help the public with all access matters in accordance with approved guidelines in effect at the time of entrance, including masking and/or visitor restrictions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Performs screening functions.

Assists all people entering and exiting the hospital and maintains appropriate documentation.

Performs access control at all assigned locations.

Screen employees, contractors, and patient families for elevated temperature through handheld thermal scanner computer thermography.

Dispenses procedure masks and wrist bands for use by staff, contractors, and patient families.

Dispenses wristbands for all TCH personnel and contractors.

Dispenses identification screening stickers to patients and families.

Assists with daily setup of assigned work areas.

Sanitizes all surfaces and equipment prior to commencing work.

Ensures hand sanitizer is available for use by screening personnel and others.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.

Performs customer service support role.

Completes duties and assignments as directed by leadership and as per policy and procedure.

Skills & Requirements

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's unless approved for a medical or religious exemption

Required H.S. Diploma or GED

Preferred 1 year experience in customer service
